BetOnline Mobile Review

In the following article, I will do my best to present a concise critical opinion on the BetOnline mobile betting platform in the Philippines, along with descriptions of the bookmaker’s functionality, ups and downs, and ways for further improvement. As of July 2020, you could not find a legitimate BetOnline mobile application.

At the same time, they provide mobile users with the next mobile-based site versions:

  • Classic (works faster, but limited visually)
  • New version (modern design, yet takes more batter & internet)
Although the Betonline mobile app is not available yet, you can make your bets through your mobile using the mobile website.

As a visual replacement of the app, the betting company proposes us to create a bookmark of the mobile site for the phone’s home screen. A clever move, BetOnline! Still, it’s just an appearance of the application, not a fully developed program with updated layout, features, and higher agility.

How to get

Today, one cannot download BetOnline app due to a simple circumstance of its absence.

For now, the maximum you can do is to take advantage of the established BetOnline mobile-browser sites for iOS and Android operating systems. Given the website variety in modes, every user – independent of the phone power or connection speed – is guaranteed to enjoy a fully functional bookmaker’s service.

Android Availability

The Android version of the website is not available.

iOS Availability

The iOS version of the website is not available.

Mobile over android, ios or desktop: upsides and downsides

First, the new Beta BetOnline mobile platform is absolutely similar to the Desktop one: everything, from design and pop-ups to the range of available functions remained untouched.

The good point is that you don’t need to make a Betonline app download in order to enjoy the bookie’s functionalities on your mobile.

Talking about the old mobile site, it can be slightly hard to navigate for an inexperienced player due to the numerous neighbouring monocoloured blocks and titles. The light version does feel overloaded to the point of mild confusion.

In contrast, the New browser-site is extremely clear visually, with a number of animated features and smoothly appearing menus. One of the significant upsides is comprehensive statistical coverage: summary of the current promotions (rollover and free play amounts summary), laconic bet history, and crystal-clear payment section.

However, Live Bets stakes do not get better (the Old & New interface is the same) – the exploration of the most crucial betting pages will likely cause frustration. Most of the “In Progress” matches are not opening while being displayed on the page. For clarification, the desktop site marks these plays with a “This event has no active promotions” sign.

Because of some bug, the mobile site is frequently unable to swipe up or down to view the full page: we have experienced the glitch several times and hope it gets fixed soon!

To conclude, the New mobile site seems to handle the betting service in a manner lightly more delightful. However, much more would be aspected by an average user. The Desktop version, to compare, exceeds the mobile both in speed, quality, and lack of noticeable defects.

Usability

Proceeding from the fact of equal functional range for all BetOnline mobile & desktop platforms, I’m going to sketch out the nuances and interesting points of the betting site’s essentials.

How to login

If not registered yet, the mobile signup form will only require the basic address info, email, new password, and you are done! Nothing like document verification is required at this point.

The logging-in procedure is sheerly straightforward. Type in your email or account number and passcode – the commonplace “Remember me” checkbox was extended into two options. “Keep Username and Password” and its username-only analogue might seem bewildering at first, yet it does make more sense with time.

Sports betting

In total, 35 independent Sports categories are maintained on BetOnline: only 6 eSports among them. Also, a unique type of Future bet is definitely worth exploring.

The bet slip supports the two most widespread types of stakes: Single Bet and Parlay. Additionally, the “Risk Max Limit” button is located under each individual selection: go ahead, crazy man! Generally, the “risk” term is used throughout the website to denote a wager’s value.

Live betting

Sadly, the live sportsbook is one of the weakest parts of the BetOnline bookmaker. Apart from the fact that only the most superficial live data is catered for (typically, just the current score), a large portion of events situated in the “In Progress” folder either have no odds to propose or do not open at all.

We have not stumbled upon a single on-air broadcast on the mobile site, as well as on the desktop version.

Another downside is that the “Quick bet” feature was not transposed to the mobile interface, thus leaving the live punters a little unfortunate.

Payments

Bitcoin and credit cards are the two major deposit providers – however, tap on the “View More Deposit Options”, and an unseen world of opportunities opens up.

The cash-in options available today in the Philippines are:

  • Cryptocurrencies (ETH, BCH, LTC, RPL)
  • Skrill (+ Skrill 1-Tap)
  • Bank Wire Transfer
  • Neteller
  • QB-Direct
  • Moneygram
  • Ria

Minimal deposits acceptable vary, starting from $10 for e-wallets Skrill and NETeller, $20 for cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum, and $50 for debit cards. No supplementary taxes are levied by BetOnline.

Contrary to the deposit methods, the ways to withdraw cash from your account are tightly restricted. The Bet Online cash-outs between 20 and 500 dollars must be conducted via any embraced cryptocurrency – on the other hand, these transfers take no longer than 48 hours

Moreover, as a general rule of thumb, online bookmakers are inclined to cancel withdrawing transactions in case the utilized method does not match the deposit system used. If cashing out anywhere from $500 to $15,000, the Bank Wire option becomes accessible.

Support

The means of interaction with the BetOnline assistance team are centred in the personal cashier under an unremarkable red circle with a question mark.

Totally, three main ways are upheld:

  1. Phone Hotline Call (toll-free number)
  2. Direct Email
  3. Live Chat Support

As expected, online chat is the most convenient and swift contact method among the ones represented. Meanwhile, my test has revealed minor complexities: I needed to duplicate my question twice, and the agent’s English was somewhat sketchy yet understandable.

As a result, it took nine minutes for my support manager to connect and give a clear reply – speedy Sierra (her name)! Nonetheless, if you are longing for momentous help and not feeling too timid, go ahead and call the phone centre.

Overall

All in all, the BetOnline mobile platform presents a quality browser-based decision, as an alternative to the development and support of the native apps. In case you are an ardent customer of the BetOnline services, the mobile app would fit you right away, ignoring the probable “acclimatization” period due to the special nature of the betting company.

  • Limitations
  • Both Philippine language and PHP currency unsupported
  • Occasional navigational bugs & glitches encountered

FAQ

? Are there any mobile-specific bonuses?

As an addition to a wide spectrum of crypto- and welcome promotions held by BetOnline, there is a Mobile Betting $50 Free Play bonus. Exclusive for the first stake made from a phone or tablet, the promo guarantees a full reimbursement of up to 50 dollars in case the initial wager lost.

Feels like you qualify? Shoot an email to BetOnline according to the bonus’ terms & conditions and receive the free bet equivalent! Still, the rollover requirements are harsh: the free play credits must be fulfilled six times.

? Does BetOnline offer live streaming services for mobile apps?

Geez, the bookmaker does not host one online broadcast! Furthermore, the desktop platform is no different: the only verified info we are given by the site is the ongoing match’s score. I can totally relate to your utter dissatisfaction with the BetOnline’s status quo!

? How easy it is to deposit/withdraw money in every application?

All kinds of supported transactions are within one’s reach when mobile versions are used – actually, they use the same payments interface. A critical tip: both deposits and withdrawals have to be conducted via the same payment method, which is ordinarily not underlined by bookmakers.

Thus, make sure you are comfortable with cashing-in via crypto assets, given that a range of cryptocurrencies and bank wire payment constitute a conclusive cash-out range.

? Where can I find the BetOnline promotions in apps?

On the mobile beta site, click on the central hamburger-button and select Promo in the sliding-out menu. For the classic version, the “Promo” hypertext-sign is located at the very bottom of a page. There, you will find exhaustive descriptions of the ongoing promo actions regarding the deposit, sports, and casino.

? Where can I find .apk files for iOS and/or Android?

Bad news: no mobile application for BetOnline has yet been developed or even announced, at the time of summer 2020. We earnestly anticipate a quality native app for both iOS and Android platforms. However, our hopes do not seem to reach the BetOnline’s headquarters in Panama.
